Everybody has a story...
I started CandyChick Sweets in 2014. I resigned from my job at a mental health facility to attend nursing school. Unfortunately, my best friend's mom passed, and I wanted to help the family by giving money towards the funeral. I didn't have much money at the time, but I had food stamps and I knew how to bake. I did a cheesecake fundraiser and raised $500 in 2 days, and every dime that was raised went towards Ms. Brenda's funeral arrangements. Since then, I've been using my talents to help myself as well as others when someone is in need!
I am very blessed to have friends and family who are truly by my side. My mother has always supported my ideas and decisions that I have made in my life, and she continues to be instrumental in helping me shape my dreams into a realities.

It gives me great joy when cooking and baking- from the beating of the eggs, all the way down to cutting of the bell peppers and onions. We all have a LOVE LANGUAGE....mines is cooking and baking. I'm on a mission to make sure my LOVE reaches the WORLD!
